A Brief Overview of the History and Controversies
I have been following this subject since the early 1990s, and have been involved as a therapist, a client, and in many discussions. I think you will appreciate my objectivity, because I am aware of the ways false beliefs take hold, as well as the evidence that supports many of the claims for these rapid-acting therapies.
From a scientific thinker (not a knee-jerk skeptic): The techniques that get quick drops in anxiety and other emotional reactions, and produce lasting change, why they work, and the controversies.
